Independence Day

Today as you cookout or tonight as you shoot/watch fireworks with your family, take a few moments and remember what this holiday’s all about. Remember those who fought to secure our freedom from Britain. Remember those who defended our freedom (and the rest of the worlds) through two World Wars. Remember those who continue to fight today for people who can’t fight for themselves. And remember yourself, a soldier in the fight to defend our liberty. Remember that it only took fifty-six men (everyone who signed the Declaration of Independence) to bring about a revolution. Remember that no matter how small, no matter how poor, no matter how educated, YOUR VOICE MATTERS! Remember what makes this country great: it’s citizens.

(I tried to post this Saturday but my computer screwed up. That’s okay, because the message should be a year-round message. Remember these things every day)
